I ran to the store and got some saline, then got a really good look at the eye, rinsed it (with some difficulty) and put ointment on it. I didn't see anything in there so I think it may be a sting or fly irritation. My vet said pink eye is going around because of the flies. Ooh, I better go wash my hands again. Then I sprayed them all down really well with fly spray and put fly masks on them. I think I'm going to go buy them new masks today, mine are getting rather floppy.

Ditto gets it every summer from the flies. I use Equispot on her. She looks like I need to do it again.
Hopefully it's just the flies, that happened to my sister's mare one summer. My Boy's eyes tear from the flies, but I'm hesitant to put a fly mask on him after what happened the last two times I did it, a year ago, he developed this bizarre head-shaking reaction. I'm not sure if it was the mask but luckily our flies haven't been too bad this year. I hope Cisco is on the mend soon!
