Like you said, not much to see, but he looks like he's got a nice solid build and decent conformation. Would like to see some squared up photos from both sides, front and back and also close ups of his legs and feet. What's his pedigree? I'm not a pedigree nut but there are some bloodlines I dislike - matter of personal preference - for me, no Impressive anywhere in the pedigree and none of the popular western pleasure show bloodlines (he doesn't look western pleasure bred).
He doesn't have much in the way of bloodlines on the Quarter horse side. As far as I know, his dam is grade. Sire is a TB and honestly I didn't pay a lot of attention to that. Seattle Slew, Census, Nazrulla (sp?).
He's been thrown down and gelded, and talked to over the fence. He is confident and curious, a quiet leader, and was raised in the mountains I do most of my riding in. He hasn't been ruined yet. He's got what I'm looking for, except I can't get hair for DNA testing to check for PSSM. But it's a moot point, as the guy has an inflated idea of what he's worth. I'm going to pass on him, and I'm pretty bummed about it. :(

DeleteDoesn't matter how he looks. Is he sound and can you saddle up and go? :)
ReplyDeleteHe's cute. At 3 years old, what have they done with him so far?
