I just came to report that I haven't given up on Luc yet. And to share a few recent photos.

Zoom!

I rode through some bucking on this horse. He didn't mean anything by it. Isn't he adorable?

  3. You mean Scout bucked? What the?!

  4. No, not Scout. He wouldn't have the energy for that! This is a horse I was trying out. I got on after expressing a lot of concern over riding a horse I didn't know, and she assured me he's a good boy. Once I was in the saddle the owner said, "Now remember, he hasn't been ridden in 3 years." Then her horse went all Broncos, and bucked into mine. I stayed on but she ended up in the hospital. :( I still like that horse though. He was scared, did a little bucking across the road toward a bunch of barking dogs, didn't know a one-rein stop, but eventually stopped anyway even though his buddy was running down the road back to the pasture. And who couldn't love that innocent face?

  5. That makes more sense. Yeah he has an adorable face and a very cute butt too. :) Ps. never get on a horse you haven't seen ridden by the owner first. First rule of horse buying. :D

  6. Yeah, I don't know why I didn't insist. I know this lady and her husband had just died. I was looking at replacing my horse who isn't dead yet. It was an emotional afternoon. Neither of us was totally in our right minds. We probably should have left the horses in the pasture

  8. Wow. She ended up in the hospital? What a scary day. I made a mistake like that one time and rode a horse I didn't know down a road. It was bad, but I somehow got him into a yard and slid off before something worse happened. I had to walk him back to the owner's house and, of course, wasn't interested in buying him at that point--even though he may have been a good horse in different circumstances.

PS. I love that picture of you and your husband. You have beautiful red hair!!
