This is Brownie. He looks like he suspects he might be what's for dinner.

This is Herman. He looks like he thinks his cuteness will win him a reprieve.

And this is Cecil. He looks like he's plotting a menu change.

No really, they don't have names. Well, Brownie does, because he's not white. John wanted to name one of them GWWS (Goes Well With Stuffing) but I don't know how you'd tell them apart.

I've been thinking it's probably weird to baby talk to my foods, pick them up and pet them and remark on their cuteness. But I like them! They're adorable! Butchering time will be no fun, but I can enjoy them until then. I love turkeys! Sorry to interrupt the mustang theme here, but you'll probably see more of these little guys as they grow.

They are very cute! And yeah, how can you help but name them? I still want a few chickens, but I just want them to be chickens and not have to worry about baby chicks, lol.

They are much cuter when they are babies and by the time you butcher them, they won't be as cute anymore (but maybe some will...that's why we still have Ms. Turkey!). I like eating the Tom's...that's why I think it'd work just fine to have a small flock of heritage turkeys, hatch out some each year and just eat the toms (well, most of the toms), and keep the hens.

I name everything Andrea. And when its time to eat them, I don't have a problem. I don't do butchering too well, but I know that is inevitable. They are cute little buggers.

Those are really cute close-ups! I have not seen baby Turkey chicks before (is that what you call them?) I don't think I could hatch and raise anything to eat. My ranch would be full of many animals because I'd get too stinkin' attached to them all, lol! ;)
