I shouldn't have been so fixated on eyes in my previous post...
Poor Tonka. I don't know what he did. I don't see any signs that his actual eye is hurt, so that's good.

**Evening update - his eye is much better tonight. I had rinsed it with saline and I put some antibiotic eyedrops in it tonight for good measure. I think it'll be fine soon. Either there was something in there and it flushed out, or more likely he bumped it or got stung by something.**

My old horse Cocoa had a swollen eye once, ended up having the vet out and it turned out that there was a fly stuck in there! Luckily her eye had been all teary and it must have lubricated the fly enough because it didn't seem to have scratched it or anything. Some eye goop to put in and soon she was good as new--once the fly was removed. Hope Tonka gets better quick :)

Could be a bug bite, unless it's teary, in which case it could be something in the eye or a corneal scratch. Good luck!
