It's giveaway time!
Thanks to the wonderful ladies at Life With My Herd and Horseshoes and Hearts, I have some books to share with some lucky person. Once you've won them and read them, pass them on.
These two books aren't something I would have picked up off the shelf
and bought, but they turned out to be very good books! Having lived in
New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina, I especially liked the
"Horses of the Storm" book. I cannot even imagine what it was like in the stinking, stifling heat, with all the death and destruction. My hat is off to those who fought through the ordeal and those who helped them.

Just leave a comment on this post by midnight on Saturday, and I'll choose a winner this Sunday. Then I'll mail them off and you can enjoy them at your leisure and pass them on in a giveaway on your own blog.

YAY! Glad you liked them!
They look like really good books xx
Never heard of them, but I am a huge book worm and would love to read them!!
I would love to read them too. My used book store went out of business so I am always scrounging something to read. They sound interesting.
Oh I forgot to remind you of Sunday. Please come eat about 1 if you can't ride. I am sure looking foreward to seeing every one. It is exciting to spend your birthday doing just what you wanted.
I'll be there, Lea. I was wondering what time I should be there but you just answered my question. :) I can't wait!
Those look like they'd be fun to read. Have you read Racelines? It's about racehorses, and while most racehorse books focus on winnings and stats, this one describes the horses and their people in a more personal way. It makes it possible to relate to them. Pretty cool book, overall.
