Luc is still here

Luc is still on corral rest. That's really all I have to say. I have consulted 6 vets (one is a farrier) and most of them say to put him down. Only the two at WSU didn't quite say it. We'll see. I've been sick over it. Then my friend lost her husband to brain cancer, and it put things into perspective. It could be a heck of a lot worse.

You've done well by getting so many opinions. I'm sorry they're all basically saying the same thing. I think people were a little bit more hopeful with Cowboy's injury--and my second farrier was very hopeful. It doesn't sound like they're holding out the same hope for Luc. At least whatever decision you do make, you've done your research. I sure wish you weren't in this position, Andrea. Our horses can mend our hearts and break them. When Cowboy started his head shaking, I almost lost my desire to be with my horses because it seemed like something was always going wrong. Hoping you get through this okay. In the end, we just have to enjoy what time we do have with them. They can be fragile in so many ways.

I'm so sorry to hear about this, Andrea. You are giving him every possible chance, and I applaud you for that. Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure it will be the best course of action. I hope things turn around for the better.

So sorry Andrea. Not fair. Not fair at all, not to you or Luc. You will do what is right, whatever you decide that is.
