Here is an excellent article from National Geographic on wild horses. Take the time to read it.

This was an excellent article. Maybe since it was in National Geographic many more people will read it and know what's truly going on with the wild horses and the BLM and oil companies etc... I really haven't much hope for them without some intervention from the government. But with all the rest of the countries problems I'm sure these wild horses may come in last on the to do list.

I read a couple of pages--and will read the rest after I get back from feeding. I'm going to head out and see if it's still on the newsstand, too! Thanks!!! GREAT ARTICLE!!!

They did a pretty good job. Did you notice the photo of the mustangs in the snow? That's up in the Ochoco National Forest at the Big Summit Prairie HMA. I'm on the Board of Directors of the Central Oregon Wild Horse Coalition who helps keep an eye on this herd...I have a gelding from there...he's just a pet...the easiest wild horse I've ever gentled.

Glad you posted the article.
