Doesn't she just look totally beat? I feel bad for her.

She is slab-sided. Yay. Maybe she still was last night and it just didn't look like it to me.

I tried uploading a video of the baby kicking around in her butt/tail area, to show that it's just waiting at the door, but it didn't show well here. Bummer.

PLEASE do a baby-dance or wish really hard or cross your fingers or pray or holler at the moon for me. I need this baby here tonight! I have a BLM volunteer training that I really, really want to go to tomorrow. I don't know when my next chance may be! That said, she seems pretty calm and content. She may be in no hurry...

I think you would be safe to go to your training during the day. Mare's seldom have their foals during daylight hours.Mine usually came between midnight and 5AM. I know that sleepless feeling well. Hang in there . It will be over soon. Good luck . Doris

Actually the training is in the evening, little chance I'd get back before midnight. It's kind of tempting to go, but one of her more restless times is often between 10 and midnight. I'm thinking when she finally does foal it will be then or around 4 in the morning. I thought about giving my husband a crash-course in what to do if she foals, but she isn't comfortable with him. I don't want him getting hurt or her getting too stressed out. I'm still on the fence as to what to do...
